Every founder on founder.page, added up. Followers come from X, read once a day. Revenue is only what a founder's own payment provider confirmed โ never a figure anybody typed in.
How to read this
The line is one fixed group of people. It is the combined following of every founder listed today โ not of however many we happened to have read that week. Readings for most of the directory only began part-way through this window, so a line that started each founder on the day we first read them would climb from one million to three without a single follower being gained, which would be the reading job arriving drawn as if it were growth.
Before we first read someone, they are held at that first reading. That understates the past โ a founder who grew before we met them shows as flat โ which is the safe direction to be wrong in. The chart says how many of the day's founders were actually measured rather than held, so you can see which part of the line is which.
Nobody drops out on a day they weren't read. Readings are taken a few hundred handles at a time, so each day counts every founder at their most recent reading on or before it โ a founder last read on Tuesday counts at Tuesday's number rather than vanishing and taking a million followers with them.
Revenue is verified only. It is read from the founder's own Stripe or equivalent, through a read-only key they connected themselves. A figure a founder typed in appears on their own page as their own claim, and is not counted here.
